It extends by adding a  foot pole to the head of the unit, then you can add additional poles as needed. They are made from aircraft aluminum which makes them lightweight but durable, 

The slide is ft. long, which allows the snow to slide down off the roof. You push the unit forward to take blocks out of the snow, then pull back a little to cause the snow to slide.

The Slide is 10 ft. long. You will use 6 ft. aircraft aluminum poles to attach to the head of the unit and you will attach them as needed to make it longer.  The poles ar lightweight but durable and attached by clipping in like a tent pole.
